Professor A.Y. Zekri received his B.Sc,M.S & Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.He has spent more than two decades in the petroleum industry. Professor Zekri worked as a consultant to the management committees of Waha Oil Co., and Agip Oil Company. He has authored and/or co-authored more than 100 papers on new developments and technical issues in the areas of improved oil recovery, flow through porous media, and environmental aspects of petroleum production, petroleum contracts, and Enhanced Oil Recovery. He has edited and refereed technical papers in widely respected journals. Prof. Zekri has completed a number of research projects in the area of IOR/EOR to UAE and International Petroleum Industries. Prof. Zekri served as a Director of Petroleum Science and Engineering Program at UAEU 2006-2010. Professor Zekri is currently working as Coordinator of Oil and Gas Technologies, Emirates Center for Energy and Environment Research and Professor of petroleum engineering at the United Arab Emirates University.

Dr Ahmed Sultan is a confident technical professional with broad understanding of the Exploration and Development business. More than 13 years’ experience (Offshore & Onshore) in Petrophysics, Geology, Reservoir evaluation, modeling and integrated work programs/projects. Throughout his careers, he shared the success of numerous oil and gas discoveries (Inside and Outside Egypt). Petrophysics Department Manager at Tharwa Petroleum Co. from 2006 to present time. Ahmed received his BSc in Geological & Geophysical Engineering from Faculty of Petroleum & Mining Engineering/ Suez University in 2005 as well as M.Sc in Geoscience from the same Faculty, where he teaches Petroleum Sciences in the Geological & Geophysical Engineering Dept. He specialized in Geology, Petrophysical evaluation, prospect evaluation and risk assessments workflow (Exploration Projects) & techniques and, he worked as a teacher at Faculty of Science / Alex. University due to his Geology and Petrophysics experience background. He finished his PhD. In Petrophysics in 2017 / Faculty of Petroleum / Suez University, he published and a co-author for around 25 technical papers / presentations, he got the Excellence Award from Minister Of Petroleum/Egypt 2018, Also, He is the author of Essentials Of Petrophysics Book.

He has published many research articles in international journals and filed several patents. Also, he is author of two international books. He is member of editorial board of many reputable scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for various prestigious journals. He is member of the organizing committee's numerous international conferences in Asia, Europe and North America. He has received “Best Teacher Award” by Dr D Y Patil Knowledge City, Pune. He has honored by "Excellent Researcher Award (Male)” by "International Academic and Research Excellence Awards (IARE-2019)”. During his research, he has Synthesized 78 organic compounds (By conventional & green method) out of which 76 compounds are novel compounds. He used PbO Nanoparticles for the synthesis of Azo compounds.
